Who

Tim

Artomatic was started by Tim Milne and James Ellery in 1983. James went off to do something better in 1998, but Tim carried on, changing it to do a bunch of other things like being a shop in Selfridges until 2003, when he went to live in America. He still lives there but now works in London, doing this, this and other things.

Murray Arbiter

After a two year sabbatical from printing Murray W. Arbiter is back. And anyone who know’s Murray knows’ he’s nothing if not enthusiastic, especially for print. Murray returned to the industry with Miter Press, a company that, as he says ‘gets him’ and shares his passion for brilliant print and service and he is totally enjoying the challenge.

A big reason for Murray getting involved with the Artomatic blog is the fact that printers and designers need to constantly practice clear communication between themselves in order to deliver exceptional results.

Between us, we know a fair bit about print and more importantly, we’re big fans of it. And so why not say something about it?

Printing disasters?

We'd like to hear your print / design horror stories, and publish them here and maybe write a book if we get enough. Please get in touch or send your stories to: tim [at] artomatic.co.uk
